Melissa is an experienced insurance writer and delivers content across many of Go.Compare’s key products including car, home and travel insurance. Her role includes writing and refreshing guides and pages on our website, as well as writing newsletters, social media posts, customer emails, and more.
After graduating from university with a first-class degree in Creative Writing and Media, Melissa started working as a content writer to fuel her passion for writing and content creation, joining Go.Compare in 2023. At this time she also began saving for her own home and this fuelled her interest in savings and finance.
One of Melissa’s main projects is to carry out updates across the site, making sure all our data is accurate. She regularly audits our web pages, collaborates with our data team to gather fresh statistics, and checks sources like the Office for National Statistics or the Association of British Insurers for the latest insurance research.
Melissa feels strongly about empowering people so they can make informed financial decisions, and takes pride in making sure content is accurate and easy to read.

- Car insurance - Melissa is the proud owner of a little Toyota Aygo named Daphne. As a younger driver she has experience in writing about the cost of car insurance and how to choose the right cover
- Home insurance - With a keen interest in home insurance, Melissa has spent years writing about buildings and contents cover, as well as guides and tips for home owners and tenants
- Travel insurance - As someone who enjoys travelling in the UK and overseas, Melissa has worked on many of our travel insurance destination pages, adding useful tips and hints for holidaymakers
