### How did you get into insurance and financial services? What experience do you have?

I began my career in the energy sector, working for British Gas as an energy expert. I progressed up to their Compliance Assurance team and worked there for seven years.

While there, I built up a lot of experience in compliance and it played well to my strengths. I love paying close attention to detail and getting things right, so I felt it was the right role for me.

After six months working with the Equality and Human Rights Commission, I joined Go.Compare in 2020 and have worked here ever since.

### How do you keep up to date with the industry?

I’m always actively seeking out new information and updates. This includes horizon scanning, checking our data sources, receiving updates from other compliance contacts, and checking new updates from the FCA and other regulators.

I also get news and information through my peers - I’ve learned a lot from them over the years.
